Dance it out
The day started with rumbling thunder and rain that had no signs of stopping. We rescheduled the shoot from 1pm to 9am, the one hour where the chance of rain dropped to 30%, compared to 70% the rest of the day. Thankfully the weather forecast was wrong! Mady and Kendal showed up with their sequenced dance costumes and hunter boots, and our sky was a perfect shade of grey against Clear Lake's back drop. I made the girls do quite the workout, leaps and arabesques on the beach and plenty of twirls in the tall straw-like grasses. Their spirits were high and the dance moves came naturally. I spent some time researching dance quotes, but at the end of the day, they will remember these moments as the friendship and time spent with one another.
